Poem for a loved one Lover poem

Not sure whether you'd want to send this to a loved one. I tried my hand at adopting a "for mum" poem and applying it to a lover. Yeah, very oedipal. Not sure that I like it much! Still, if you've got a loved one that you'd like to send this to, I'm sure they'd be... curious.

You've always been there just to care and to comfort me,
you give me such strength when I'm spent and you care for me,
you make me believe in myself so unselfishly
- believe when I say to you - you are the one for me.

I hope that you know that you've come to mean everything,
Holding the reigns through my pains while I'm battling,
Finally reaching my best through the wrestling
- believe when I say to you - you are the one for me.
