Poem about my Dad - especially for his birth day
A dad can be so many things
to lots of different folk.
Many things we laugh about -
and use him as a joke.
But Dad is always there for you,
no matter what the problem.
He knows what life's about, you see,
and knows just how to solve 'em.
Some dads are good at DIY -
ignoring what you say!
Some dads enjoy their golf and sport,
and sleeping in the day.
I couldn't ask for any more,
a man of virtue rarest.
He helped to make me who I am:
My Dad - the best there is.
Dads are wonderful creatures. Please feel free to use this poem to tell your father how you feel about him - they are pretty special, after all. They put up with so much while you're growing up and though you might feel you've been at their wrath a few times, you probably deserved it!
